We entertained a good friend
of Jennifer's and her sister-in-law while they were
looking at property
on the
island. Then, Eric and Jennifer, joined them
at Gentle Winds for a few days.
Unfortunately, Chip had broken his elbow and was in San
Juan for the entire trip. Oh well.
Clada gave Pam and Nancy a quick island
orientation to make sure they saw the whole island.
Everyone stayed at
Gentle Winds, which is very convenient to our house.
Eric and Jennifer loved the fish tacos at Rowdy
Joe's.
Gary and Cathy hosted our guests and the Salt River Gang
for pizza. We made some yummy pizzas that night.
We toured Captain Morgan's Rum Factory first and
admired John's rum barrel displays...then lunch at the
Chicken Shack.
Note to self: ALWAYS EAT LUNCH IF
YOU'RE GOING TO TOUR BOTH RUM FACTORIES.
Then we met up with Pam and Nancy to tour Cruzan Rum,
which was very different from Captain Morgan.
The Gang: Pam came
from Kansas, Nancy came from Wisconsin, and Eric and
Jennifer flew from Minnesota.
Let's just say it was fun having a DD
for their trip.
And, of course, we had to stop by
Norma's after the Rum Factory tours.
Norma has fixed
up her sign so it's an even better place to take pictures.
We also visited the Christiansted
Boardwalk for some shopping.
Chip spent the week in San Juan getting his
elbow repaired, so he missed Eric and Jennifer's visit!
