Carol and Scott invited
us to join them on their boat. They were getting
ready to pull it out of the water,
so we figured we could do some snorkeling at Buck
Island, and then Chip would meet us at Salt River
with the trailer so we could pull out the boat.
This iguana was sunning himself on the
dock next to us.
Scott swam to the
boat and drove it to the
dock. There aren't any
seats on this boat...it is bare bones.
We figured
out where to stand after we got soaked a few
times.
We also saw leatherback turtles
swimming by.
Buck Island is a
national underwater park with lots of coral and
fish. Snorkeling was great there!
Chip kept an eye on the boat and watched for
whales, but we didn't see any that day.
Chip drove the trailer to Salt River, after getting a tire
on it quickly fixed.
Clada took lots of pictures of the house as long as we
were cruising by the property.
There is more to
the story, but unfortunately we don't have pictures.
When we were pulling the boat out of the water, the
trailer broke. Oops. The McGyvers had to
kick into gear and use simple tools and brains to solve
the problem, but the fellas did it!
They got the boat out of the water; Scott fixed the
trailer over the next couple of days so he could take it
home. This
