During the summer, it
is wonderful to wander through the Plaka district in Athens
when the weather is warm and the outdoor cafes
abound.
We really enjoyed the Athens outdoor dining experience.
Strolling and shopping was great fun, too.
The market was
fascinating. This hall is dedicated to fresh meat; and the next
one was all about fresh fish and octopus.
There was a little bit of everything. This is a display at a junk
store.
Eric introduced Rod to the pleasures of the doner kebab.
Clada, Rod, & Eric hang out while waiting on Chip.
Eric and Jennifer
bought an inexpensive volleyball.
We enjoyed drinking Mystos beer and local jug wine, and
eating greek salads, tzatziki, souvlaka, squid, gyros and cheese pies. Strolling
the streets of Athens is one of the primary reasons to visit
Athens in the summer! This website is for the
