Clada and Cathy have been doing LOTS of swimming!
Cathy completed her first Cane Bay to Carambola swim; it
was Clada's second time.
This is our regular swimming
group, with just a few folks missing on Sheila's birthday.
Sheila has taken some good photos...this is a marbled eel. Below are pictures of
the big event...it took us over an hour to swim from Cane
Bay to Carambola with the Fin Folk swimming group.
The Fin Folk group is a lot larger than our Cane Bay
swimming group and they are fast swimmers!
We helped the
fellas get the kayaks ready for escort duty.
These are the before pictures, when we're nice
and dry.
Cane Bay is quiet in the
morning.
Can you tell who's NOT
swimming?
We go out ahead of the Fin Folk since they are
so fast.
Chip and Gary superbly escorted Cathy and
ensured she didn't swim off-course.
Carambola Beach is a welcome sight!
The Fin Folk applaud Cathy's first long distance swim.
Woo hoo! Way to go, Cathy!
Gary and Cathy are
a great team!
Swimming in
the open ocean is a blast! We usually see turtles
and sting rays, and sometimes spotted eagle rays and
dolphins.
